I recently had a request for Glee cookies - I've never seen the show, so I had to go on the imagery that was most popular on google, and clearly the main logo, with a 'loser' hand using the finger and thumb as the 'L' in the word 'Glee' was going to have to feature. I was asked to feature the names of the recipients in the cookies, so I decided to see if I could replicate the idea with their names. It took a bit of levering (and 'ignoring' the thumb, shh!), but this is what I came up with:
I then had the problem of what to do with regard to including people. I don't know any of the cast apart from Jane Lynch, who plays Sue Sylvester; she has a very distinctive face. The rest of them all look the same to me, boys and girls! Cartoons weren't going to work so I decided to use line drawings.
I fiddled around with a few photos and scribbles, came up with a line drawing I liked, stole a felt tip off my daughter to make it stronger, took a picture with the app, and transcribed it to a cookie:
I added a couple of headless cheerleaders (that's got to brighten anyone's day, surely?),
some Big Quench slushies (what're they about?),
a few sparkly musical notes, and some gold stars. All in all I rather liked this set.
